The title seems a bit strong for this post. Its been a few months since my last post. I thought perhaps, i could actually become active with blogging again after the last post, but i guess it was all a small kids talk. However, i ran onto this website namely malaysianartistesforunity.info which is a totally free site that strives for unity among Malaysians, that as we all know is on the edge of breakdown especially now, during the critical hour with all the politicians with their ‘sweet talks’, the internal fights for seats, etc.
The site, made me thinking for quite deep as I am, and proudly to say this, a Malaysian myself! The site said, unity. One country, one nation, one love, undivided. And what have i done for my country? For unity? People say, younger generations are pillars of the country’s future. Being one of the younger generations, I have not seen myself contributing to my country at all, not to mention being a pillar for the future. I planned my future, yes. I intend to grab a degree, start working, further my studies, become a specialist, open my own business and so on. As you guys read, you must have noticed there’s nothing of the word other or people in the list. Everything is about myself. Is that what i want? Is that what i live for? No.
With that as an answer, and as I looked at my friends grew not only in appearance, but also thinking, behaviour, as well as many other things, I instil in myself an urge to change, to become an active community member instead of the old passive one, and try to uphold my part as a Malaysian, while studying far away from my home country. With that in mind, i hope the same goes for the blog, so that it wont look so dead. That’s all i guess.
One country, one nation, one love, undivided. Malaysia. Peace out.
