Happy 52nd Merdeka!

at this very same day 52 years ago, a small nation formely known as 'Tanah Melayu' finally achieved its independence day from the colonization era of the British. 6 years later, the name changed to Malaysia after Sabah and Sarawak joined the independence states. i am not here to write about how Malaysia achieved its independence or anything for that matter. but i want to express about how proud i am to be a malaysian, and now, after 21 years of living, i am glad that i was born in malaysia and not other country. though it is a small nation and it is still developing, the uniqueness and the diversity that exists in the country cannot be overlooked. hopefully, the country will continue to prosper amidst the turmoil and problems it is facing at the moment.

though i may not be at Dataran Merdeka to say this, but i will stay say it here and now, 7 times in a row,
