a year ago, i wrote a post on the same matter i'm about to write after this. time flew so fast that it seems only yesterday i was still living in halls, preparing all the meals and dishes for raya tomorrow. however, a reality check brings me to the present, and i am now a year older, celebrating raya with many different people, creating many different lovely experiences.
mak, ti, kak long, kak ngah, abang amir, mirah, if possible, i would like to go back and be able to celebrate raya with all of you! i miss the times when we all woke up early in the morning, preparing for the morning eid prayer, and after that sat together on the same table, eating our raya breakfast. more than that, i miss so much the times when we all gather around, each of us asking for forgiveness from each other, starting with the eldest and goes on until the youngest in the family, which in this case is mirah. these times were the moments where everyone was so down to earth humble! if not, no duit raya! haha..
for this year, again i'm celebrating raya without my family. but it was not bad at all. celebrating with friends and attending a lot of open houses makes up for the shortages. the only downside is that raya celebration has to be postponed until next week, as classes proceed as usual till then. anyway, salam eid mubarak to all my muslim brothers and sisters around the globe! selamat hari raya to all my families, relatives and friends! ampuan dan maaf dipohon untuk segala salah dan silap. may this raya celebration brings us closer to each other~ (:
